What happens when you clean libpng and try again?

This looks like #29223 which was fixed in MacPorts 2.1.3. What version do you have? Run "port version" to find out. Then run "sudo port selfupdate" to update to MacPorts 2.1.3, then "sudo port clean libpng" and try again.
