port self update help

Hi I just installed macports but I cannot update it. I want to install gedit-plugins. Below is the output I get when I am update:

Looks like your network might be blocking rsync traffic. Either fix that or refrain from using selfupdate.

Closing as this does not appear to be a bug in MacPorts.
