Description

Attached is a portfile for libmetalink, which is needed for #39031. It passes port -v lint --nitpick and port test and it installs successfully.

Regarding your uncertainty over MIT vs. X11 license, please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIT_License#Various_versions. The license described in the COPYING file is the license we call the "MIT" license in MacPorts.

Thanks for the port! Committed in r105857.

Although you used configure arguments asking for both expat and libxml2 to be used, only expat actually got used. Reading the configure script, it seems that it will only look for libxml2 if expat was not found. The README says it requires "libexpat >= 2.1.0 or libxml2 >= 2.7.8". I changed the port to use expat only.

I changed the name of the "tests" variant to "test" which is what other ports use (except uhd and uhd-devel, which should also be changed).

I removed the trailing slash from the homepage, because that appears to be the canonical form that launchpad prefers. This fixes the cosmetic double-slash-in-download-URL issue.

I also adjusted the description.

And fixed the livecheck.
