Confirming:

eric-gallagers-macbook-pro:~ root# port -v livecheck cppcheck
cppcheck seems to have been updated (port version: 1.58, new version: 1.60.1)

The proper way to have no maintainers is to use the name "nomaintainer", not "unmaintained"

Not really. Just involves submitting patches to keep the port up-to-date and fix any issues that crop up.

Done in r106671 and r106672.
