Description
The globus-core @8.9_1 port (in trunk, changeset [107013], original ticket ticket:39280) fails to detect the correct location for installing perl modules. See discussion here. This new submission replaces the detection mechanism by hard-coding to perl 5.12.

Committed in r110696 with one minor change, I used depends_lib to specify the dependencies on p5.12-xml-dom, p5.12-xml-parser, and perl5.12 so that they don't need to be specified in both depends_build and depends_run.

I believe a similar change is needed for grid-packaging-tools, I recall that you were working on this? Any developments?

Great! I'll close this ticket, when your changes to grid-packaging-tools are ready can you make sure you CC me on the ticket as I'd like to get as much of globus in MacPorts as possible.
