Description
I used the recommended
sudo port install octave-revel +atlas+docs
After grinding away for quite a while MacPort quits declaring that "Atlas could not detect any fortran compiler."
I was following the instructions here: http://wiki.octave.org/Octave_for_MacOS_X#MacPorts
