Local-Admins-MacBook-Pro:~ root# port -v livecheck dd_rescue
Error: cannot check if dd_rescue was updated (The requested URL returned error: 406)

Also note that this is the version with the underscore in its name, not GNU ddrescue. The port description might want to clarify the differences between the two. The webpage linked above has this to say about the differences between the two:

Meanwhile, the tool GNU ddrescue has been developed and supercedes some of dd_rescue's functionality for what it was originally designed for. It's still useful though for some special features, such as direct IO, sparse copies, safe deletion (with a fast userspace pseudo random number generator), splice copies, preallocation ...
