nco needs a build dependency on the texinfo port. The texinfo binary included in OS X, even in 10.8, is too old. Workaround for now: 

sudo port install texinfo
sudo port clean nco

Thank you Ryan. I had the same error from the buildbot, but I was unable to reproduce the problem and to figure out the source of the problem. Committed in r111761.
