Description

The web site's port database is missing fortrancl, ImageMagick, and xapian-core — the three ports which set the new destroot.delete_la_files property which was added in MacPorts 2.2.0. Is the server that generates the portindex that gets imported into the database not updated to MacPorts 2.2? The 2.2.1 release is being prepared today, so the server could be updated to that version.

No, that server is not running 2.2. We'll update it.

MacPorts 2.2.1 was released, so if you could upgrade all servers to that version that would be great!

The developers of ImageMagick have now contacted me, wondering why ImageMagick appears, based on the web site, to not exist in MacPorts.

Could we get MacPorts updated to 2.2.1 on all servers, and a process put in place to ensure the servers are updated at least within a week or two after future MacPorts releases? That's about the amount of time we usually wait to use new features after a new release. Thanks.

Users are noticing too (e.g. #42408). Please update MacPorts to 2.2.1 on all servers.

Mentioned again in #43599. Please update all servers to MacPorts 2.2.1.

MacPorts 2.3.0 has been released; please update the servers to that version. Is it more complicated than just running "sudo port selfupdate" on them?

It used to be a little more complicated on Linux, but starting with 2.3.0, selfupdate on Linux should actually work out of the box.

Summary: fortrancl, ImageMagick, and xapian-core missing from web site's port databasecertsync, fortrancl, ImageMagick, and xapian-core missing from web site's port database

certsync is also missing from the web site for the same reason; see comment:ticket:43926:1.

Now that MacPorts 2.3.0 has been released, and ports are starting to remove the guards previously surrounding the new configure.cxx_stdlib variable introduced in 2.3.0, many more ports are disappearing from the web site database; based on your recent email, Shree, that now includes arm-elf-gcc, capnproto, dibbler, gcc43, gcc44, gcc45, gcc46, gcc47, gcc48, gcc49, lcdf-typetools, libxl.

Please resolve this issue by updating the server to MacPorts 2.3.1.
