#43478 closed defect (invalid)

apr @1.5.0 Extract error: command execution failed

Reported by: pierswalter (Piers Uso Walter) Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.2.1
Keywords: Cc:
Port: apr

Description

Upgrading apr to 1.5.0 fails during extraction of /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/apr/apr-1.5.0.tar.bz2 Reason: it tries to use /usr/bin/gnutar, which does not exist on my computer. This is after having upgraded from OS X 10.6.8 to OS X 10.9.2 and from Xcode 3.2.5 to Xcode 5.1.1 I am not sure if /usr/bin/gnutar is supposed to exist or if this is a bug in the extraction script.

Replying to ryandesign@…:

Read wiki:MavericksProblems and wiki:Migration.

Thanks! Maybe these links should be added to the FAQ (which I consulted before opening this ticket)? Piers

And by FAQ I meant the problem hotlist at https://trac.macports.org/wiki/ProblemHotlist I don’t seem to be able to edit it myself…
