Not many people will see your comment - outside of a few people like myself who monitor all ticket traffic. It is best to instead ask on the Macports users mailing list to get a much wider audience.

As I stated on an earlier update request, I prefer keeping the MacVim and vim ports in sync. They are using the same .vimrc and plugins, so I think it will be easier that way to handle any issues with plugins. MacVim is currently based on 7.4.258, which is why I kept the vim port at the same version.
