Description

HexFiend 2.1.2 doesn't build on current OS X / Xcode because it uses garbage collection which is no longer supported. The developers already fixed this but hadn't released a new version. I convinced the developers to release a new version, which they called 2.3.0. It now requires Lion or newer. The attached patch updates the port and works for me on Mavericks. The files directory should be deleted.
