#44584 closed request (fixed)

[NEW] add a Cargo port

Reported by: macports.org@… Owned by: g5pw (Aljaž Srebrnič)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version:
Keywords: rust Cc: g5pw (Aljaž Srebrnič), seh@…, nerdling (Jeremy Lavergne), nickolas.fotopoulos@…, alexreg (Alexander Regueiro)
Port: cargo

Description

Cargo is the rust project and package manager: http://crates.io

Although it's in development, so is rust, projects seem to be switching to Cargo already, so it would be useful to have it be available alongside rust.

Any updates on this??

Now that rust is stable, I'll start working on a cargo port. I noticed it appears to have no versioning whatsoever.

EDIT: I may have spoken too soon. It looks like cargo can't be built using rust v1.
