Macports elder councilman jmpp has only had 2 commits in the last 5 years and has a number of open tickets.
Juan, please let us know which ports you have time to maintain.

I should have done this a long time ago, as it was plenty obvious to me I didn't have the time to maintain any of my ports to any serious degree, and apologize for failing even to relinquish them.
Thanks for taking care of it. I will contribute what I can as time permits, e.g. to git, PHP, MySQL and other ports that I use extensively at work, but I'd be lying if I say I can commit as a responsible maintainer to any of them. I prefer rather to exchange patches directly with maintainers, and commit them myself in the case I get a green light from them or when dealing with an openmantainer port.
