#44814 closed defect (fixed)

portindex does not respond to Control-C

Reported by: larryv (Lawrence Velázquez) Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: base Version: 2.3.99
Keywords: Cc:

Technically, portindex when run via port sync doesn’t:

% port -d sync
DEBUG: Checking last run information.
--->  Updating the ports tree
Synchronizing local ports tree from file:///Users/larryv/Projects/MacPorts/git-svn/trunk/dports
DEBUG: cd /Users/larryv/Projects/MacPorts/git-svn/trunk/dports && /usr/bin/git pull --rebase || true
Current branch master is up to date.
Creating port index in /Users/larryv/Projects/MacPorts/git-svn/trunk/dports
Warning: xcodebuild exists but failed to execute
Adding port aqua/AppHack
Adding port aqua/AppKiDo
Adding port aqua/AquaLess
Adding port aqua/ArpSpyX
Adding port aqua/AssignmentTrackerX
Adding port aqua/BGHUDAppKit

Adding port benchmarks/iozone
Adding port benchmarks/nbench-byte
Adding port benchmarks/pipebench
Adding port benchmarks/polygraph

And it’s still just sitting there. If it’s ignoring signals until it finishes, that’s fine, but it should at least give some indication that that is what’s happening. Right now it just looks like it’s hanging.
