I haven't tried either of the versions in your patch, but note that the existing argus 3.0.6 port's universal variant seems to be building fine without any further directives.

Like Ryan mentioned, perhaps we should just do the stable 3.0.8 version.

It looks like as of September 3, 3.0.8 is the latest stable version. Should we just update argus to that version, and dispense with adding an argus-devel subport?
