Any reason not to commit this?

I was waiting for feedback (but apparently forgot to add any comments).

However there is a tiny problem that I fixed locally, but forgot to upload. It seems that the version from GitHub would need the configure script generated first. We certainly want to get rid of svn.mandriva.com from master_sites, but I'm not sure if it's better to fetch from GitHub and generate configure (which makes it a lot easier to switch to a newer version) or if it's better to keep fetching the released xz files.

I committed r125390. They already released version 7.2.0 which has that patch included, so no need to backport the patch any longer.

I kept the github line commented out. If anyone wants to switch to using git, feel free to do so.
