Description
Installing latex2html appears to be successful, but html.sty cannot be found by latex. Uninstalling and reinstalling with -v option reveals the following error message:
Info: Installed /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_releasError: Could not create directory "/opt/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/html": Operation not permitted Error: Cannot install LaTeX2HTML style files in /opt/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/html
Quick ' dirty workaround:
sudo mkdir /opt/local/share/texmf/tex/latex/html
before install.

fixed in r126928 - ideally, this should be fixed by patching the configure/Makefiles. This software is really old and has lots of warnings when compiling and using. I couldn't find any newer software that does this latex2html.
