Description

I installed Mac 10.10 Yosemite over the weekend, and at the same time it was time to do some winter cleaning, so I'm not quit sure if this is a problem within MacPorts or if it was caused bin me. The only thing I cleaned 'away!' was home brew. I did this in the recommended fashion.

I also followed the recommend upgrade path for MacPorts. Had some problems with that because I didn't know there was a new version of Xcode (6.1), that was downloadable (but not yet to be found in the appstore) from developer.apple.com. So had some problems (not compiling and not finding the right dependencies) with some packages I wanted to install with Ports that I had installed in Homebrew (OpenCV mainly)

But after some upgrading, uninstalling I'm not able to find python27-apple no more with port select --list

$ port select --set python python27-apple

$ Selecting 'python27-apple' for 'python' failed: The specified version 'python27-apple' is not valid.

$ port select --list python

Available versions for python: none python27 (active)

The problem is excactly the same as described in -> https://trac.macports.org/ticket/37265

So maybe it's time to look at that code again?
