Looks fine - just add this so it uses macport's libraries instead of the systems
depends_lib-append port:libxml2 port:openssl port:curl
I'll test it out more later.

I submitted #45886 because I didn't find this ticket (I searched, wrongly, but I did). The portfile I submitted has a couple of variants for pinentry and building the docs, also relies entirely on the github portgroup for fetching and livecheck. I'm not sure what is the procedure to suggest adding that to this one.

The general method now days is using subports. I'll commit my version shortly. From my limited testing it appears to work OK.
I added all 3 of as maintainers for now
