The current MacPorts version of armadillo (4.450) has a bug: 

/opt/local/include/armadillo_bits/gmm_diag_meat.hpp:292:0 /opt/local/include/armadillo_bits/gmm_diag_meat.hpp:292: warning: declaration of 'n_dims' shadows a member of 'this'

This was fixed in Armadillo 4.550.
