Please attach a unified diff instead of a complete new Portfile.

Not sure how to attach a diff, because this somehow points back to haskell-platform through magic I don't understand.

That magic is called "subports". We can't accept a standalone portfile for this, since as you've pointed out the port is already a subport of haskell-platform. Update the relevant part of haskell-platform instead, then attach a unified diff of your changes.

Actually, please don't do that. The haskell-platform Portfile is supposed to provide exactly the versions that are provided in the current version of Haskell Platform. If we need a newer hs-parsec, we should provide one in a separate Portfile. Unless we really have to have a newer version I'd rather close this wontfix, though.

For now I won't update hs-parsec beyond what haskell platform already provides. I'll try to explore other avenues of updating pandoc, but I'm not very optimistic that we'll get anything worked out before the next haskell platform update is in.
