Description (last modified by mf2k (Frank Schima))

I tried to install sextractor through macports using the command sudo port install sextractor

The process was not complete and i got the following error message:

Error: org.macports.build for port llvm-3.3 returned: command execution failed
Error: Failed to install llvm-3.3
Please see the log file for port llvm-3.3 for details:
    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_lang_llvm-3.3/llvm-3.3/main.log
Error: The following dependencies were not installed: atlas clang-3.3 ld64 llvm-3.3 perl5 perl5.16 gdbm gettext expat libiconv ncurses python27 bzip2 db46 db_select libedit openssl zlib python_select sqlite3 xz fftw-3
To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide:
    http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets
Error: Processing of port sextractor failed

I tried to install atlas then, but the installation failed too. Since i haven't used macports for a while a tried to to update with port selfupdate and then port -v selfupdate but both failed. I am not sure what is the problem. Recently i have updated to Yosemite which caused major problems with IDL and IRAF, so I am not sure if this caused a problem in macports. Any idea?

I would like to thank you for your time.

In the future, please use WikiFormatting, fill in the Port field and Cc the port maintainers (port info --maintainers llvm-3.3), if any.

Without the main.log, we have no idea what happened. However, llvm-3.3 is old and not required to install sextractor. llvm-3.5 is the default now. Since Trac is not for tech support, follow-up on the Macports Users mailing list instead.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
