Is it possible to have one latest stable version of mercurial port (v 3.2.4 in this case) and another more state of the art version (v3.2.99 in this case) so that the user can decide which to use?

I'll probably make tortoisehg explicitly depend on a stable version of mercurial. What features are you possibly using from 3.3 that are not in 3.2?

I do not use any specific features in 3.3. I'm new to OSX and setting up my machine with Mercurial and TortoiseHG. The default version for the Mercurial port (v3.2.99) being installed is 3.3-rc while the default version of TortoiseHG is 3.2.4 which requires Mercurial 3.2.4 to run.

Unless of course, I did something wrong in the installation process?

Ack, no, you're right. I forgot to update TortoiseHG. I'll try to update it today.
