Can we migrate the repo to GitHub to reduce the effort of submitting new portfile?

Generating patch and submitting patch to trac is a very time consuming task....

Can we migrate the repo to GitHub to reduce the effort of submitting new portfile? On GitHub you can just click "Merge Pull-Request" to merge the patch if you want. And people can just add their changes in the commit.

There has been lots of discussion of this on the macports-dev mailing list before. Please have a look in the archives, and if you would like to discuss it again, please bring it up again there.

Committed the port in r132464 with some changes:

  • adjusted description
  • removed use of github portgroup since this project is distributed through pecl
  • removed "php.pecl.prerelease yes" since 1.0.0 is a stable version, not a prerelease
  • added checksums
Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
