As indicated in the port comments, p5-devel-repl is needed to enable the newer pdl2 shell in PDL. Without it, PDL reverts to the older perldl "simple shell".
p5-devel-repl was added to MacPorts in r133510.
Request that this dependency be added to enable the pdl2 shell.

Dependency on p5-devel-repl added in r133533, openmaintainer. Enhanced pdl2 shell now builds by default.
