reading the Portfile, it looks like the checksum error happens when a new -date release comes out

molden seems to have been updated (port version: 5.2.4-20150227164700, new version: 5.2.4-20150308192500)

dstrubbe, I notice you've committed some changes recently - however, I still get a checksum error

Can you try 'make clean' and repeat, and also show the lines from main.log that identify the checksum that was found? I made a change because I got a checksum error; when I did that, it failed on the buildbots. I tried again, with updating the version, so then it worked for me and on the buildbots. If it somehow fails for others, I really don't understand what is going on...

The developers of molden do not believe in assigning a new version number when they make what they consider to be minor changes. So, for example, version 5.2.4 has been re-released many times already, including again today. Whenever this happens, users who happen to be closest to the original distfile server (instead of one of the mirrors) will receive checksum errors. When this happens, one must update the port, following the stealth update procedure. Because with molden this occurs not as an accident but as matter of course, the molden portfile is set up to accommodate this happening. I'll update the port to the latest version.
