Description
The latest 3.0 has been released. It's considered a drop-in replacement, and in general looks to be less work than from 2.4 to 2.6 - http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/release-notes/3.0-upgrade/
Tis might also be a good time to look at ticket #45803 about starting up with a config file instead of hard-coded command line parameters. That would allow users to use the new WiredTiger engine and other improvements.

It builds now, but I'm not sure exactly what I changed. Committed in r133789.

Unfortunately, mongodb 3.0.0 does not build. I'll have to take this up with its developers.
