    11to build TenFourFox (Firefox) on 10.6.8 , 10.5, and 10.4 (Intel)  and on 10.4 & 10.5 PPC against the 10.4u SDK,  we use gcc-4.8 on all systems. It works perfectly well.

     3I have also used gcc6 to build it on most systems.

     5To build texlive-bin on Intel Tiger I use clang-3.8. It works great against the 10.4u SDK.
