Why does it need to explicitly specify either libstdc++ or libc++? Why can't it use the C++ library MacPorts tells it to use?

Owner: changed from macports-tickets@… to slewsys

port was update to the requested version (1.3.5.2) in this commit and later to its latest version in this commit by its current maintainer @slewsys. Ticket #57328 indicates however build issues, as can also be seen ​here --> re-assign to current maintainer.
