Description
Several installs (format disk, case sensitive and not) install macports from dmg selfupdate. License and command line toolsall done. Some ports build eg wget some do not eg qnuplot, qt5

According to a post on the users mailing list, an OS reinstallation fixed the problem.

I neglected to mention repeat above with yosemite and all works perfectly
