aquaterm build fail on Mac OS 10.11: Abort Trap 6

Reported by: demis.ucsb@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.3.4
Keywords: Cc:
Port: aquaterm

Description

While reinstalling all my ports (after a migration to OS X 10.11), only aquaterm appears to be unable to build. (It's also near the top alphabetically, so fails my upgrade outdated right away).

Other installations are building fine (eg. Python27 etc.). XCode works and CLI tools are installed/agreed to. Macports has a working home directory in the default location (in /opt/local/var/macports/home).

It fails with:

--->  Building aquaterm
Error: org.macports.build for port aquaterm returned: command execution failed
Please see the log file for port aquaterm for details:
    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_aqua_aquaterm/aquaterm/main.log

FYI, I first updated MacPorts base from the installer (to v2.3.4).

aquaterm first failed with a upgrade outdated, then again after cleaning, then again after uninstalling all ports and running the restore_ports.tcl script - which continues to build other ports, but only this one appears to fail (so far - still building overnight).

Just realized it's a duplicate of #50040, which appears to have no solution as yet.

Please let us know whether ProblemHotlist#xcode7.2 or ElCapitanProblems#coresimulator helps.
