    1 My mistake. I was assuming that the universal variant was the default for libomp. Shouldn't the Portfile be changed then to make it the default variant since the default compiler on x86_64 supports both i386 and x86_64 code generation.  The current situation seems unnecessarily confusing to the end-user.
