nomaintainer is a pseudo-address meaning that nobody is maintaining the port, no need to CC it.

Weird enough it compiles successfully both on 10.6 as well as on 10.8 and later. The following workaround works:
sudo port install wavpack configure.compiler=macports-clang-3.7
but it's not clear to me what the blacklisted compilers should actually be (macports-clang-3.4 fails, I didn't try the rest).

Seems to still be an issue for wavpack @4.80.0 for me on OSX Lion

If it helps, I managed to finally get this port to upgrade on OSX Lion with:
port upgrade wavpack configure.args=--disable-asm configure.compiler=macports-clang-3.9

Upgrade still fails on Lion 10.7.5 when I use :
sudo port upgrade wavpack configure.args=--disable-asm configure.compiler=macports-clang-3.9
Error: port lookup failed: too many nested evaluations (infinite loop?) To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide:

Cleaning up old Lion tickets. It appears this ticket can be closed.
wavpack 5.1.0 currently builds successfully on buildbots on all systems from 10.5 PPC on up. <http://packages.macports.org/wavpack/>
