    2525I'm not sure what you mean here by 'still does not see it' but the following commands work for me:

    27 $ sudo port install python27 +ucs
     27$ sudo port install python27 +ucs4
    2828$ sudo port install gobject-introspection +python_ucs4
    2929$ port installed python27 gobject-introspection
