I tried to install latexml with the following commands but none seem to work: 

sudo port install LaTeXML +texlive
sudo port install LaTeXML +mactex
sudo port install LaTeXML

Good afternoon,

I solved the issue with sudo command "selfupdade" of macport and succeed to convert "file.tex" into "files.xml"

Yes, this issue was fixed in r136284 14 months ago. Please sudo port selfupdate regularly to receive such fixes.
