Description
I noticed that jakarta-log4j was no longer building on my Tiger system with Java 5 installed. After poking around the web, I found http://www.opensubscriber.com/message/log4j-user@logging.apache.org/ 2153881.html, which claims that log4j 1.2.12 has a better check for JMX on Java 5 systems and so should compile.
I've updated the Portfile, and it builds for me; I'll be attaching the diff shortly.
