    3 Thanks, to be honest, I presently have no idea in which code this `CFStringGetLongCharacterForSurrogatePair` is being called. Somewhere in `gdk-pixbuf2`? Also, I tried to find some c code for an "on foot" solution of the 32bit UTF encoding of a surrogate pair of two 16bit parts, but did not easily found one.
