As a matter of fact I've been abroad for a while, also 15 months ago, sorry the most pressing one of these is libssh2 as far as as I'm aware wich only breaks on legacy ppc builds. Then there was the issue of hping3 having variants that change nothing, cause it's a binary port.

Maybe I am too busy for this right now, but we could start by looking into how to do anything about these since I don't even have access to the ports tree here.

Also I could neither replicate the xprobe issue nor the tcpreplay one

  1. Are you willing to continue maintaining all these ports?
  2. Are you willing to set your ports openmaintainer (designates that the maintainer allows minor changes to be committed without his or her prior approval)?

The ports tree is on GitHub now (https://github.com/macports/macports-ports). Why would you have no access to it?

Yes

And yes! I compile these on my side all the time, so I guess I see it if anything goes wrong.

Oh, well I wasn't aware of that

Thank you for continue maintaining these ports. I'll add openmaintainer to all of them and let's fix the problems in their respective tickets. You can submit a pull request on GitHub or upload patch files on Trac to update the ports tree, but please don't do both for the same changes.

Ah great thanks One last general question pertaining libssh2 I only got a 10.4 ppc machine here, if I install macports and fix it on there it should be fine in legacy right?

I didn't see a libssh2 ticket, but if it only broke on legacy ppc systems and you have a ppc machine it's probably fine.

Not a ticket, however I saw it breaking on via build failure messages
