Shouldn't 

# requires clisp, which only supports these architectures                                                                                                                                                   
supported_archs i386 ppc x86_64

be removed since 

# compiled part of xindy (tex2xindy) can be universal                                                                                                                                                       
# clisp is called in the xindy Perl script                                                                                                                                                                  
depends_skip_archcheck clisp

makes it unnecessary?
