    1 root6 was upgraded from 6.10.08 on my machine (MacOS Sierra 10.12.6) to 6.14.02, and but the installation automatically switched the root6 variant from python34 to python36.  Manually specifying the python34 variant results in the installation of the python36 variant instead as well.
