Port: g95

Description

summary: I have attempted to install g95, however it terminates with an error during the "Configuring g95" step. Please see attached log file.

Steps taken:

  • installed xcode 10, agreed to license, and ran the "xcode-select --install" line.
  • installed latest version of macports.
  • installed gcc8 with no apparent problems.
  • attempted to clean g95 after failed installation, ran port selfupdate, and attempted to install g95 again. Problem persists.
  • attempted to uninstall, clean, and reinstall gcc8 and then g95. Problem persists.

note: I am using a new computer, ie. the original OS installation was Mojave.

note2: I read on the g95 web page that gcc versions greater than 4.X are not guaranteed to work. I tried installing this version of gcc, but it says that it is incompatible with XCode versions >= 9.
