#57785 closed request (fixed)

sunclock port should be reinstated because there is an upstream source again

Reported by: macportsraf Owned by: jmroot (Joshua Root)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.5.4
Keywords: Cc:
Port: sunclock

Description

sunclock was removed a few years ago because the upstream source website has disappeared but there is a new upstream source on github that is used by debian and I'd like it if sunclock was reinstated on macports.

It's at https://github.com/mdoege/Sunclock

It still compiles fine. I tested it by copying the Portfile and files/gzFile.patch file from macports and creating a local port.

Replying to macportsraf:

...aaaand it's gone again. 🤦‍♂️

It went away awhile ago. I have put it here:

https://github.com/rafarc/sunclock

And I promise that it will never disappear as long as github is around.

I even intend to make some little fixes when I get to it. The timezone map for Malaysia is wrong.
