openconnect @8.02 doesn't work on 10.11 El Capitan

When starting OC 8.02, it will always fail with 'Failed to open tun device: Invalid argument'. It's discussed in the above link of the OpenConnect project / GitLab issue in great detail.
Workaround: Go back to 7.08 which works fine. Apparently, newer versions (e.g. commits post 8.02, this one in particular https://gitlab.com/openconnect/openconnect/commit/acac6c0508e6f2e3c7e102f5bd33da98b2e2167d) have fixed this.
The least that should be done is pointing this out to users. So when they install this they will get a hint that there might be a problem when on 10.11.

The openconnect port has been updated several times after this ticket was filed and is up to 8.10 now. I assume the commit you mentioned above has been included in the port for some time now and that the problem is gone. If not, please reopen this ticket.
