A couple of small things I noticed also - the homepage can use https and the new version supports Perl 6.d (mentioned in the description).

Please review the expectations of a maintainer. https://guide.macports.org/chunked/project.contributing.html. Particularly section 7.3.3. Basically the whole point of a maintainer is so that we have people who can be assigned Trac tickets. If you don't want to be assigned tickets, we can remove you as a maintainer for your ports.
