Description
Hi, it would be nice if the webkit2-gtk port could be upgraded to use version 2.24.1 as that is the latest stable release. The current version is significantly outdated. Thanks.

BTW, I have my own build of webkit2-gtk-devel already at
webkit2-gtk-devel @2.23.3_0+gtk2+x11 (active) platform='darwin 10' archs='x86_64' date='2019-02-05T07:46:31-0800'
so I guess I could at least get that one out to MacPorts.

I know. I guess I'm pretty much taking this on, with Yan. It's a big project. The webkit2-gtk group has more-or-less stopped supporting Darwin as a target platform, so I have to backport / forwardport / monkey-around with the source an increasing amount to make it build on Darwin. Updating webkit2-gtk is on my to-do list.
If you have any pull with the webkit2-gtk people, we might remind them somebody in Darwin-land cares about it.
You can try webkit2-gtk-devel, by the way. It's newer, although not current:
