I would delete delete the etch port as well. I don't know of any active users of etch, and even when there were active etch users I think I was the only one using the macport.

Maintainer (Jason) left a comment a #47985 suggesting
tpkgbe deleted.Jason, are you still interested in maintaining the
etchport, and/or is there reason to delete it? It might be outdated: it is currently at version 3.20.1 (released 2012), but there appear to be more recent versions and development available on GitHub: https://github.com/etch/etch
