2.9.1 was released 2019-02-26; current version in MacPorts is 2.6.1 (released 2016).
When updating, the port may want to be moved away from using maven2, which is EOL.

I've attached a patch that redoes the Leiningen installation to use the standalone binary distribution along with the version of
leinwhich doesn't attempt to auto-update.If this works for others without negative feedbas, in a few days I will go ahead and replace the current Leiningen Portfile with this one.
If some MacPorts maintainer wants to just commit the patch in the meantime, that will be fine with me.
