sudo port -v install libgcc7
failed as described in the attached log:

There is no plan to ever support building libgcc7 on MacOS Catatlina.
hmmm... or so I thought ... but <http://packages.macports.org/libgcc7/libgcc7-7.5.0_0.darwin_19.x86_64.tbz2>
I had best look into this a bit more before I finish off that thought I guess...
