libxls fails to configure regardless of OS version (see ​https://ports.macports.org/port/libxls/builds) 

./configure: line 17118: syntax error near unexpected token `,'
./configure: line 17118: `AX_CXX_COMPILE_STDCXX_11(, optional)'
